How long can I apply to be a ballkid for EURO24?

You can apply by the deadline of 23:59 on 10.05.2024.

Can I apply for certain games?

No. You can apply for up to three venues. The match you'll be part of will be determined by a random draw. Anything from group stage matches to the final is possible.

In which cities will the games take place?

The host cities for EURO24 are Berlin, Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg, Cologne, Leipzig, Munich, and Stuttgart.

When will the matches take place in the respective stadiums?

When will I know if I'm selected as a ballkid?

All participants in the competition will be informed by email on 17/05/2024. In addition to the winners, there will also be a Ballkids waiting list.

How old do I need to be as a ballkid?

You need to be between 14 and 18 years old during the EURO 2024™, which takes place from June 14, 2024, to July 14, 2024.

How athletic do I need to be?

As a ballkid, being passionate about soccer and understanding the game rules are essential. Classic football skills like ball control, quick decision-making, and game understanding are required. You should also be proficient in throwing and catching, and physically fit. Want to know what specific skills you need? Can I apply with my best friend?

Yes, that's possible. In the Scouting Field section, you can enter the name of your friend with whom you'd like to participate. With luck, you might both be on the sidelines together.

Will the travel and the hotel be paid for?

For games kicking off at 9PM, Strauss will provide overnight accommodation, if the place of residence is at least 50 kilometres from the host city. The hotel accommodation service is optional and can be selected on the last page of the application process. No hotel accommodation will be provided for matches kicking off at 3PM and 6PM. The winners themselves are responsible for travelling to and from the event.

What is the daily schedule like as a ballkid?

A detailed timeline will be given if you're scouted as a ballkid. Generally, you should be at the meeting point at least 6 hours before kick-off. After the match ends, you'll be on duty for a maximum of 1 hour.

How old does my accompanying person need to be?

If you're under 18 years old, there must be an adult (at least 18 years old) present at the stadium who will accompany you home after the match.

Will my companion receive a matchday ticket?

Yes, each accompanying person will receive a matchday ticket from Strauss. If you are already 18 years old as a ballkid, you will also receive another matchday ticket for your parents or a friend.
