Dear Applicant (m/f/d),
When you submit an application, you volunteer personal information (hereinafter referred to as 'data') e.g. your contact data, application documents etc. This document explains how we process and use these data and what claims and rights you have pursuant to data protection laws.

2. What data do we process?
We process data that we receive from you when you contact us. Relevant personal data include personal details (name, address and other contact data, date and place of birth, gender) and other particulars you volunteer in your application documents (certificates, CV).
When you visit our website, we also process data that your browser sends to our server (e.g. IP address, data and time that the website was visited, website address from which you visited our website (referrer-URL) and information about the files you called up).
3. For what purpose is my data processed and on what legal base?
The above-mentioned data is used to process your contact query and the application procedure (Legal base: § 26 Par. 1 S.1 in conjunction with Par. 8 S.2 BDSG (new)). If necessary, we also process your data to safeguard our legitimate interests, e.g. in our defence in case of legal disputes or for statistical purposes (Legal base: Art. 6 Par. 1 lit. f) DS-GVO) or due to statutory obligations (Legal base: Art. 6 Par. 1 lit. c) DS-GVO).
If you have given us your consent to process your data for specific purposes, the lawfulness of the processing is given on the basis of your consent (Legal base: § 26 Par. 2 BDSG (new) in conjunction with Art. 7 DS-GVO). You can revoke your consent at any time. Please note that your revocation only applies for the future. It does not apply to the processing carried out prior to your revocation.
Data collected when the website is visited are processed to display the website and to guarantee its stability and security. The legal base is Art. 6 Par. 1 lit. f) DS-GVO.
4. Who receives my data?
The persons responsible for the application and selection process in the company have access to the data sent to us. The data are made available to the team leaders of the respective recruiting department. In addition, those departments in our company that need your data to fulfil contractual or statutory duties also receive your data. Agents (Art. 28 DSGVO) that we contract may also receive your data for these purposes. These include IT service providers and other service providers who help us with recruitment management. The data is not transferred to any other third parties outside the company.
5. How long is my data saved?
Your personal data are deleted within 6 months after your application was rejected. After this time, a so-called 'rump data reduction' is carried out; this data is only used for statistical analyses.
6. Are data transferred to third countries?
No. Data are not transferred to third countries.
7. What data protection rights do I have?
You have the right to information pursuant to Art. 15 DS-GVO, the right to correction pursuant to Art. 16 DS-GVO, the right to deletion pursuant to Art. 17 DS-GVO, the right to restrict processing pursuant to Art. 18 DS-GVO and the right to data portability pursuant to Art. 20 DS-GVO. The restrictions pursuant to §§ 34 and 35 BDSG (new) apply to the right to information and deletion. You also have the right to submit a complaint to a data protection supervisory body (Art. 77 DS-GVO in conjunction with § 19 BDSG (new)).
8. Welche Rechte habe ich in Bezug auf meine Daten?
8.1. Recht auf Widerruf
Haben Sie in die Datenverarbeitung eingewilligt, so haben Sie das Recht, Ihre Einwilligung jederzeit mit Wirkung für die Zukunft zu widerrufen. Durch den Widerruf wird die Rechtmäßigkeit der Verarbeitung bis zum Widerruf nicht berührt. Der Widerruf kann in einer E-Mail an datenschutz@strauss.de oder mit dem Zusatz „Datenschutz“ per Post an die oben unter Ziffer 1. genannte Adresse erklärt werden. Nach Widerruf werden die Daten nicht mehr verarbeitet. Dies gilt nicht, sofern wir dazu gesetzlich berechtigt oder verpflichtet sind.
8.2. Recht auf Auskunft (Art. 15 DSGVO)
Sie können von uns unter den Voraussetzungen von Art. 15 DSGVO Auskunft darüber verlangen, ob und welche Daten wir von Ihnen verarbeiten. Sofern wir personenbezogene Daten von Ihnen verarbeiten, können Sie darüber hinaus Auskunft über die Umstände und Ausgestaltung der Verarbeitung und näheren Angaben zu den verarbeiteten Daten verlangen.
8.3. Recht auf Berichtigung (Art. 16 DSGVO)
Sie können die Berichtigung und unter Umständen die Vervollständigung Ihrer Daten nach Art. 16 DSGVO verlangen.
8.4. Recht auf Löschung (Art. 17 DSGVO)
Sie haben das Recht, dass wir Ihre Daten unter den Voraussetzungen von Art. 17 DSGVO unverzüglich löschen. Das Recht auf Löschung besteht u.a. nicht, wenn die Verarbeitung der personenbezogenen Daten erforderlich ist für die Ausübung des Rechts auf freie Meinungsäußerung und Information, zur Erfüllung einer rechtlichen Verpflichtung, der wir unterliegen (z. B. gesetzliche Aufbewahrungspflichten) oder zur Geltendmachung, Ausübung und Verteidigung von Rechtsansprüchen.
8.5. Recht auf Einschränkung der Verarbeitung (Art. 18 DSGVO)
Sie können nach Art. 18 DSGVO die Einschränkung der Verarbeitung Ihrer personenbezogenen Daten verlangen.
8.6. Mitteilungspflicht (Art. 19 DSGVO)
Gemäß Art. 19 DSGVO sind wir verpflichtet allen Empfängern, welchen personenbezogene Daten offengelegt wurden, über Berichtigungen, Löschungen und Einschränkungen der Verarbeitung Ihrer personenbezogenen Daten zu informieren. Ausnahmen können hierbei bestehen, wenn dies unmöglich oder mit einem unverhältnismäßigen Aufwand verbunden ist.
8.7. Recht auf Datenübertragbarkeit (Art. 20 DSGVO)
Sie haben nach Art. 20 DSGVO das Recht, dass wir Ihnen die Sie betreffenden personenbezogenen Daten, die durch uns verarbeitet werden, in einem strukturierten, gängigen und maschinenlesbaren Format zu übergeben.
8.8. Recht auf Widerspruch (Art. 21 DSGVO)
Nach Art. 21 DSGVO sind Sie berechtigt, Widerspruch gegen die Verarbeitung Ihrer personenbezogenen Daten einzulegen und von uns zu verlangen, die Verarbeitung einzustellen. Das Widerspruchsrecht besteht nur in dem gesetzlich vorgesehen Umfang. Ihrem Widerspruch können berechtigte Interessen entgegenstehen, die eine weitere Verarbeitung erforderlich machen.
8.9. Automatisierte Entscheidung im Einzelfall einschließlich Profiling (Art. 22 DSGVO)
Wir stellen auch Ihre Rechte nach Art. 22 DSGVO sicher. Sie bzw. Ihre Daten sind daher auf unserer Webseite nicht Gegenstand von Entscheidungen, die ausschließlich auf einer automatisierten Verarbeitung – einschließlich Profiling beruhen.
8.10. Recht auf Beschwerde (Art. 77 DSGVO)
Sie haben das Recht, datenschutzrechtliche Beschwerden bei der zuständigen Datenschutzbehörde zu erheben, sofern Sie einen Grund zur Beanstandung haben sollten.
